In this episode, Mr. Al Pete had a great conversation with artist Carl Joe Williams. His exhibit, “Making Great Lives Matter,” is a project that focuses on breaking down the mental walls of viewers, in hopes to have intelligent, but mindful, conversation about what will make life great again. The vibrant and defining work touches on current and past events (police brutality, social injustice, etc), as well as bringing a great amount of optimism to humanity.

To add some push to the message, Williams, in conjunction with MOCA Jax, is running the #makethedreamreal hashtag campaign. Below, a group of Duval influencers (Erin Kendrick, Mal Jones, LoveReigns, etc) kicks off the campaign with answering the initial question: “What Does The American Dream Mean To You?” This campaign will run parallel to the exhibit’s time up (March 21, 2021), so there is time for YOU to post your video answering the same question. Please make sure you tag MOCA Jax and Williams in your post (more information below).
